Discounted paper
A security whose purchase price is determined by discounting the nominal amount to be repaid at a later date to the time of purchase. Only at the end of the term is the interest (and compound interest) paid out together with the redemption. – See annuity bond, compounding bond, commercial paper, federal financing treasury, zero-coupon bond.
