Banana Skins Survey (also spelled that way in German)
A biennial study published by the London-based Centre for the Study of Financial Innovation (CSFI) on the assessments and expectations of financial professionals at banks and in the industry worldwide; it is based on surveys of about 700 experts (based on over 700 responses from 58 countries). The report is sponsored by global accounting firm Pricewaterhouse Coopers. The reports put their finger in open wounds and are receiving close attention in the financial world. In tenor, the reports also repeatedly condemn the overregulation in the financial markets perceived by the respondents; this is the greatest risk of all and the most expensive business: Hordes of specialist lawyers have to be hired to decipher the regulatory provisions – even worldwide. A „regulatory pause“ (regulatory break) is repeatedly called for. – See investor protection, supervision, supervisory avoidance, AusschussWahn, Bafin levy, supervision, complete, fragmentation, supervisory, governance, verbal, money burning, competence conflict, supervisory, managed bank, moral suasion, Peter rule, regulatory pressure, regulatory frenzy, straitjacking, subsidiarity principle, transparency level.
