Asset productivity
The ratio of operating income (= the quantity of goods and services produced in a period valued in monetary terms; for an institution, roughly the sum of net interest income, net fee and commission income and net trading income) to risk-weighted assets. This ratio provides a clue (clew): an indication which guides one in solving any doubtful development) to the risk profile of a bank. – See earnings efficiency, risk transparency, backing, validation, securitization. – Cf.
