Generally, a reduced valuation. – A discount on the nominal value of a security, also known as a disagio. – In the case of warrants, the amount by which the purchase of the share via the purchased warrant is cheaper than an immediate purchase of the share on the stock exchange. – In the case of a knock-out put, a discount arises because the underlying is sold but only part of the total value is collected immediately. – See discount, discount.
