Guild fee (wedding coins)
In former times, the regular payment of the members of a guild into the guild treasury. – Coins that were occasionally given to the couple – i.e. the bride and groom – by the wedding guests, also called bride’s table money, wedding money, wedding guilders and similar. – See „Annehmungsgeld“, „Fahnengeld“, „Hielichgeld“, „Hochzeitstischsteuer“, „Innungsgeld“, „Pfeffergeld“, „Zunftgeld“.
