Ungoods (bads)
Goods and services which – to the individual and – thus always also to society – cause harm now, i.e. immediately – or later, after some time. – However, it is completely wrong to include money among the bads, as is often done. For money is a certificate of entitlement to goods of every kind; it is consequently indeterminate, neutral, passive, indifferent with regard to its use. Money has from itself no impulse to be transformed into a good or an evil (since money is a means to almost any end, it necessarily cannot itself be the root of evil, but it cannot be the root of good either). Rather, this decision is always the responsibility of the individual who handles money. – See actuspurus principle, equivalence principle, omnipotence doctrine, initial fact, economic, money ethics, money saving behavior, money functions, money purpose, incontinence, financial, mammon, pantheism, monetary, saving, infertility theory, traffic accident, prosperity.
