Withdrawal charge at cash machines

geschrieben von am

A charge levied by a vending machine operating institute when cash is withdrawn from a non-institute-owned cash dispenser. – The acquisition and operation, namely the filling, securing and maintenance of the machines is associated with costs. The institutes want to use the fee to prevent customers of other banks and even Internet banks from using the service intended for their own clientele. In Germany, the background to this is the fact that the big banks cut back on around 20,000 withdrawal points between 1995 and 2010, while the savings banks in particular expanded this service. – See cash procurement, cash card, cash cycle, direct bank, ATM blocking, cash card, branch, fully automated, Internet bank, account balance inquiry, skimming.
